Empire – Season 3 (TV drama, Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson) – This music family drama is not a streamer, so DVD Only and it has been renewed for a fourth season. The Big Bang Theory – Season 1. TV comedy, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki) – I still find this really, really funny.

There is a season 1. It isn’t a streamer, so DVD Only.

Chicago Justice – Season 1 (TV drama, Philip Winchester, Carl Weathers) – Oh, Chicago, you have so many spin- offs. In fact, this proved to be one too many because it got canceled after one season. DVD Only. Silicon Valley – Season 4 (TV comedy, Thomas Middleditch, T. J. Miller) – This dotcom comedy is not a streamer, so DVD Only. It has been renewed for a fifth season. Broadchurch – Season 3 (TV drama, David Tennant, Olivia Colman) – This British crime series is a streamer, but I’m not sure when. DVD Only for now.

The Case for Christ (drama, Mike Vogel, Erika Christensen) – Atheist tries to convince wife not to become Christian with results he doesn’t expect. DVD Only. Citizen Jane: Battle for the City (documentary, Jane Jacobs) – Woman who fought to preserve historic NYC neighborhoods. DVD Only. Decline and Fall (TV comedy mini- series, Jack Whitehall, Eva Longoria) – British adaptation of an Evelyn Waugh novel.

I don’t think there is a second season here, and I have no idea if it will stream. DVD Only, at least for now. Beatriz at Dinner (comedy, Salma Hayek, John Lithgow) – Great cast including Connie Britton and Jay Duplass for this comedy about a woman invited to a fancy dinner party only because her car broke down outside. DVD Only. It Comes at Night (horror, Joel Edgerton, Riley Keough) – Do you give shelter to the family that comes knocking while the world is going to hell?

I’m guessing it’s a risk if you’re in a horror movie. DVD Only. Dead Again in Tombstone (western, Danny Trejo, Jake Busey) – Apparently a sequel, where Danny Trejo has to come back from the dead a second time to do the bidding of the Devil. DVD Only. The Hatred (horror, Andrew Divoff, Sarah Davenport) – Haunted house! Poor girls, that evil spirit wants you to be afraid. DVD Only. Abacus: Small Enough to Jail (documentary) – Small bank charged with mortgage fraud. Unlike any big banks.

The story of the trial. DVD Only. The Veil (sci- fi, William Levy, William Moseley) – Dystopian tribal society needs a hero!

DVD Only. Mamaboy (teen comedy, Sean O’Donnell, Alexandria Deberry) – High school romance gets complicated. DVD Only. I Love You Both (comedy, Doug Archibald, Kristin Archibald) – Twins interested in the same guy. One is male, one is female.

DVD Only. Drone Wars (sci- fi, Corin Nemec, Whitney Moore) – Small group of survivors try to save the world! This is a brand new idea I’ve never heard of before! DVD Only. September 9th. Streaming. Portlandia – Season 7 (TV comedy, Fred Armison, Carrie Brownstein) – This sketch comedy show is one that I just couldn’t get into – but it is much beloved by others.

I don’t know when the DVD is coming out for this season, so for now it’s Instant Streaming Only. September 8th. Streaming.

The Walking Dead: Season 7 (TV drama, Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus) – Yay! The new season is around the corner, so this is a good time to catch up on last season. Instant Streaming Available. Bo. Jack Horseman – Season 4 (adult animation, Will Arnett, Aaron Paul) – I don; t know anything at all about this Netflix series, but I should take a chance on it just because of the voice talents of Arnett and Paul. Will I watch this one? Probably not, because it’s in Spanish, which I do not speak.

TV sci- fi, Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles ) – This has been Available on Instant Streaming for quite a while, and now is releasing for DVD rental. The Flash – Season 3 (TV sci- fi, Grant Gustin, Candice Patton) – This one has also been Available on Instant Streaming for most of the summer, this is the DVD rental release date. There is a fourth season coming. Like Crazy (foreign drama, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Micaela Ramazzotti) – Italian language story of two escaped mental hospital patients.
